Shoots!

Aloha and welcome to "Shoots"! Jay Metzger here and I wanted to give you a little insight on why I chose the name Shoots.

For starters, I shoot photos and video professionally for the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hawaii Media Source, and the Honolulu Star Advertiser. "Shoots" is also a term in Hawaii that many people use as a way of saying "sounds good" or "okay". It's also used as a sign off or another way of saying "goodbye". It has many meanings.

I'm using the name "Shoots" as a dedication to the memory of my good friend. Mike Larinaga and I attended Menlo College in the early 90's. Mike was a true friend and overall good bruddah. He and I played soccer together for a few years and over those years we developed a bond that became a brotherhood. Mike always kept saying "shoots" whenever we made plans. So in remembrance to him and his family, I'm hoping to keep a little of his spirit alive through this new journey and endeavor. This is for you Mike!
